Business Director

As our Wellington team continues to grow, we’re looking for a Business Director to own and lead a portfolio of our clients. Reporting to the CEO, this is a critical role that blends deep strategic marketing expertise, strong relationship management skills and a commercial mindset constantly searching for opportunities to provide more value to our clients.

A bit about the role:

You'll be leading our work across a number of our clients. You’ll be the clients’ key point of contact and will own our relationship and performance with them. In simple terms you’ll be accountable for:

  • Client Strategy and Direction - leading the process of designing and then managing the implementation of our strategy for each client. The strategy should align with the goals and business model of the client, ensuring maximum impact!
  • Growth - at Reason, our purpose is to “hunt for the edge”. This means our teams are constantly searching for new and improved approaches to generate maximum return for our clients. The Business Director leads this work and creates the space for our team to hunt for growth opportunities every day.
  • Relationships - the Business Director is accountable for all relationships between our clients and the Reason team. They should be leading by example by forming strong, value and values based relationships with all critical contacts at each client.

  • Deep digital marketing and media knowledge and demonstrable experience of translating this into successful work.
  • A commercial approach that understands the implications of the investments made by Reason and our clients, and brokers these in a way that delivers mutual benefit.
  • A natural, effortless charisma and engagement style that builds trust, combined with a passion for progress and success that drives everyone to the best possible results.
  • A comfort working with CEOs, CMOs and Business Owners.
  • A strong alignment with the Reason values, helping you to integrate quickly and allow our culture to further develop through your influence.
